Our core values
Fair Money's core values are:
- Ethics and Integrity
- Fairness
- Respect
- Accountability
We strive to live these values in every aspect of what we do and in particular in our contact with others. They are our guide to our decision-making and our behaviour. We want these values to be seen to run through Fair Money like the writing that runs through a stick of rock. We are not perfect, but we are committed to doing the best we can to ensure that we are the best we can be.
Here are the headlines for what our values mean to us:
- Ethics and Integrity are the values that are most important to us and we put them together because we find them impossible to separate. They mean that who we are, what we say and what we do are consistent. We do not pretend to be what we are not, or to do what we can't do (or don't want to do). We do not say one thing and mean or do another. We are straightforward. We conduct our business in accordance with the highest ethical standards. We do what we believe to be right.
- Fairness is part of our name and it is about treating people in ways that do not put them at a disadvantage, particularly in relation to those who are more powerful and apt to exploit them. Fairness is two-way, and we try to forge relationships that are mutually beneficial, without any party feeling they have been exploited.
- Respect underlies our belief in the unique value, dignity and importance of each individual. We treat people in ways that will build them up and enable them to do what they need to do.
- Accountability means that we are prepared to take responsibility for our actions and to enable those who work with us to take responsibility for theirs in a trustworthy way.
